We Going Out is a reflection on the unseen sacrifices and subtle pressures of beauty standards. Inspired by a moment during COVID, when my then-girlfriend (now wife) rushed to get ready for a night out, only painting the three visible toes on her foot to match her open-toe shoes, this piece captures the quiet irony of aesthetic perfection. It made me think about the unspoken rules and the lengths people go to meet expectations—how beauty can feel like both empowerment and obligation. I’m not mad at it, but We Going Out is my way of asking: at what cost?
