Drop Dimes

Drop Dimes is a bold, stylized tribute to one of the most infamous scenes from Belly. Capturing the moment Big Head Rico snitches on a drug deal, this piece distills the tension and betrayal of the film into striking visuals. Created in 2023 for Beyond the Black and White, an art show celebrating Belly, this work explores the power of imagery in storytelling. The title itself plays on both the act of snitching and the street basketball term for an assist—an ironic nod to the way Rico “assisted” law enforcement. Drop Dimes is a snapshot of cinematic history, reimagined through my artistic lens.
